Oblivion: The Dream of Becoming Your True Self & Discovery of Individuality

1

: the state of something that is not remembered, used, or thought about any more

The technology is destined/headed for oblivion.

The names of the people who lived here long ago have faded/drifted into oblivion.

2

: the state of being unconscious or unaware : the state of not knowing what is going on around you

After being awake for three days straight, he longed for the oblivion of sleep.

She drank herself into oblivion.

3

: the state of being destroyed

The little village was bulldozed into oblivion to make way for the airport.

The mental state definition of oblivion is typically used when someone drinks to the point where they become unconscious and forget their sorrow. I substitute “drinking” with “thinking” to show that my own thoughts caused me to depart from reality.

My own thoughts departed me from Reality.

And therein lies the problem — we all exist in the present moment but we are rarely aware of it.

I frequently disengage from the physical world and get lost in my head — agonizing over past events and dreading future problems.

Lift: The Awakening. The awareness of oneself and realization of one's potential and individuality. The discovery of purpose & inspiration to achieve greatness in service of the world.

Journey to the Mountaintop: The repetitive process of accomplishing daily tasks to build a foundation of growth and knowledge. Having the preservation to fight through failures and mistakes that are experienced on your journey toward achievement and success. In addition to maintaining a steady mindset in not comparing oneself to others.

Feeling: The emotional experiences one feels on life’s journey when seeking meaning, purpose, and acceptance. The dark places we inherit naturally when we realize the monumental task at hand. This is the point in our journey when we begin to experience self-doubt, lack of self-belief, and frustration.

MetaEarth: the observance of our systematic environment and how it impacts our attitude toward ourselves and the world. Meta is the future. Meta<>Earth is a symbolic artifact presenting the new harsh reality of the metaverse. An array of vocal cries calling to God to save the world.

Fahrenheit: The beginning of the end. A symbol of fire, heat, destruction, & catastrophe. Fahrenheit was constructed with the book of revelations in mind. A project rooted with urgency & realism. Fahrenheit is sounding the alarm yet the alarm is being ignored.

Tippy Toes: A blissful environment of comfort and understanding. Tippy Toes is the 3rd stage where we come to the conclusion of what we control. The transformational phase of moving oneself to a state of gratitude and joy of the opportunity to learn & grow with our limited time on Earth. Tippy Toes is both a figurative & physical state of growth.

Moby: My first sale. A beat that signifies success, progress, and accomplishment. In respect to my favorite SSX snowboarder. Moby was an inspiration to me as a kid growing up. This track reflects that inspiration I felt when I was introduced to Moby. After multiple play throughs, I predicted this track would be one of the first to sell. And so it did.

Flight: the most emotional & orchestral piece of the album. Flight is a symbol of achieving individuality, purpose, and happiness. A celebration of making the decision to live life in the pursuit of happiness, honesty, and belief in having the ability to achieve your best self despite   the difficulty the task or challenge may be ahead.

December: December resonates the present. In addition to having the understanding that life’s journey of learning and dreaming never ends. December reflects where I am now and creative process in comparison to last December, and next December will be different than this one. The mysterious landscape of our future selves is built on how we hold ourselves together in the present.
